Uploading a MixMeister mix

(Note: if this method doesn't work for you, you can try the old java applet method.)

1) Download and install MMP2Mixcloud

Windows XP, 7, 8: download installer

Mac OS: download app

2) Edit your playlist and open it in MMP2Mixcloud

- Open your playlist in MixMeister. Remove all extra tracks and the warmup; leave only the "main" dance set.
- Save your dance playlist in a new location (File -> Save Playlist as...); note where you saved it.
- Open the MMP2Mixcloud app. Click Open .MMP to read in your MixMeister playlist.

3) Create an .mp3 of your mix

- For MixMeister Fusion 7 (Mac/PC):
    - File menu -> Export Playlist to File
    - Choose Mixed MP3 Compressed File (.mp3)
- For MixMeister Pro 5 (PC):
    - File menu -> Export Playlist to Mixed File(s)
    - Choose Mixed Wave File (.wav)
    - Do NOT click Create a separate file - you want one big MP3 with everything in it.
    - Click Save and wait for MixMeister to export the .wav file.
    - Go to Windows; locate the .wav file you just exported, and convert it to MP3. My favorite free tool for doing this is LameXP.

4) Now that you have the .mp3 of your mix, upload it

- In MMP2Mixcloud, check the Include Start Times checkbox to display track start times for each track.
- Click "Copy playlist to clipboard".
- MixCloud:
    - Open Mixcloud (www.mixcloud.com), create an account if it's your first time, log in, and click "Upload" to start a new upload.
    - Start uploading your .mp3 file. On the next Mixcloud screen, look for "Paste a tracklist here or start typing an artist name".
    - You can now paste the playlist you copied from the MMP2Mixcloud app, into this box.
    - Mixcloud should recognize the format you pasted, and show the playlist with separate titles, artists, and start times.
    - Optional: uncheck the Include Start Times checkbox, copy and paste the playlist as your mix description.
    - When the upload is complete, click Save.
